Good morning Nor’easter family! This is the first morning that our Calm Before the Storm album is out in the wild, the way we envisioned it, the way we knew it could sound, the way we’d always hoped someday it would. Now it does, and now you can have it and hear it anytime you want. If you haven’t yet, get your download or limited edition CD at https://noreasterrocks.bandcamp.com.
While that part of the journey is winding down, the next phase is ramping up in a hurry. This music needs to be heard! And we will definitely take any and all help we can get to do that. There are two general elements:
1 – Building our online fanbase and network. Word of mouth of trusted friends is how the music best finds receptive ears! More listeners, more sales and streams, more exposure for our work makes many more things possible. Remember that 80s rock nostalgia is a damn big business! Encourage friends to Follow our Youtube and Facebook pages as well as subscribing to our email list at the website – and thanks to several of you who have already done so!
2 – Reaching more audience in bigger blasts through podcasters, reviewers, internet radio etc. We’re starting from scratch in the publicity department – we’ve got great music, and we have a compelling story. Now we’ve got to get people inside the industry interested enough to share our work too.
We’d love to know what you think of the album on first or repeated listens! Comments that we can use when we’re reaching out to those online gatekeepers of the 80s rock world always help.
Cheers to you for being here, and cheers to the arrival of Calm Before the Storm!
